Who is LifeSkills?
Lifeskills is a multi-therapy clinic that has been helping children in
Central Florida for the past 14 years. We are well known for our excellent
results in helping children who can't be figured out...the ones who are
"out-of-sync" and are "falling through the cracks."
Our goal is to prepare a child to function in a regular classroom and
we do this by treating the cause of a child's problem.
In the past 14 years, LifeSkills has been successful in remediating children
with developmental delays, preparing them to be successful in the classroom.
The LifeSkills' approach is to evaluate and to treat not by symptom, but
facilitating the neurological and developmental steps that are needed
to build up to academic levels.
Will my insurance company cover LifeSkills?
Many insurance providers recognize that certain movement, muscle-joint,
behavior and attitudinal, speech/language and self-care problems require
the intervention provided by occupational and speech therapies. Be sure
to check with your insurance company to find out if your policy allows
for this sort of treatment. If we are not on your plan, as specialists,

Our Mission is to provide quality occupational and speech/language services,
to be a model center for sensory integration treatment and evaluations,
and to increase understanding of subtle neuro-motor, problems nationally
and internationally.
Our licensed, loving therapists have many years of clinical expertise
in pediatric therapies. Our staff is specially trained in traditional
as well as progressive SI techniques.
 Our
treatment environment is designed for safety and maximal therapeutic gains,
featuring individual cushioned rooms with several ceiling suspension points
that provide a wide variety of sensory input and postural and motor planning
challenges. LifeSkills is nationally recognized as a model treatment site,
and our therapists provide consultation regarding design and establishment
of sensory integration spaces for facilities throughout the country.
