SHORT TERM INTENSIVE THERAPY PROGRAM
LifeSkills is pleased to offer a Short Term Intensive treatment program
for children struggling with motor, sensory, attention, language, and
related problems. Kids come in for 2 to 3 hours a day for 2 to 5 weeks
and build up a momentum of learning that can produce dramatic results.
Who Qualifies For LifeSkills'
Short Term Intensive?
Any child exhibiting problems
with attention, language skills, hyper- or hypo-activity, social behavior,
or other difficulty that may be associated with sensory/motor integration
is a candidate. Our trained therapists can conduct an assessment
to see if your child would likely benefit from our Short Term Intensive
program.
How Does Short Term Intensive Treatment Work?
The child comes in for extended treatment
sessions (up to 3 hours per day) for a minimum of 2 weeks, and slightly
longer in some cases. This focused schedule allows the child and therapist
to accelerate learning and integration in a way not possible with standard
treatment.
Who Conducts The Intensive Sessions?
Our regular staff of trained therapists
conduct the Short Term Intensive sessions, so your child can take full
advantage of the same high quality care we offer to all of our clients.
For children who qualify, LifeSkills' Short Term
intensive treatment can produce dramatic improvements in a relatively
short time.
